DeMisty Bellinger gave a virtual talk at the Willa Cather Foundation’ Virtual Author Series on March 17, 2022. She discussed catalysts for her book New to Liberty.
DeMisty Bellinger gave an in-person at the Speakers & Issues Series at Midwestern State University on Feb. 17, 2022. It was held at the Wichita Falls Museum of Art at MSU Texas. The event was also sponsored by the MOSAIC Cross Cultural Center and the MSU Texas Black Student Union. It was part of Black History Month activities at MSU Texas. DeMisty Bellinger took part in Readings on the Pike on September 2021. She read alongside Jason B. Crawford, Sofia Fey, Steve Fox, Beth Gordon, Richard Peabody, Lee Potts, Karthik Sethuraman, Evan Williams, and Katherine Young.

In April 2021, White Whale Bookstore celebrated DeMisty Bellinger’s latest book from Mason Jar Press, Peculiar Heritage. She read with Steven Levya and Sheila Squillante.

On April 10 2021, BLF Press presented Krystal A. Smith in conversation with DeMisty D. Bellinger. This was a launch of Krystal’s first collection of poetry, This is Not About Love: Poems. See the event page at BLF Press.

On April 13 2021, Colgate University featured DeMisty D. Bellinger with other poets in Small Press Reading Series: Poetry Edition.

- March 15, 2018 at Manchester Community College in Manchester, CT, the Dehn Gallery hosted DeMisty D. Bellinger reading her poems and short stories. This event also featured a performance by jazz quartet Chat Noir as part of MCC’s Mishi-maya-gat Spoken Word & Music Series. Learn more here.
